Long-haul Offshore Project
The project consists of an implementation of a ring structure by inserting a new on-shore station (B) between two offshore stations (A & C).
More information on on the technology behind long-haul link solutions can be found in the Technologies - Long-haul section of this site. In this example from our project portfolio, the SDH and booster equipment at B and offshore site A are made up of sub racks mounted in rack cabinets. The existing SDH equipment at offshore site C are expanded with an optical interface and a complete new booster rack. The 350Km booster link between offshore site A and the onshore site are prepared for a future upgrade in order to support four channel DWDM functionality. This is realized by adding extra support modules in the existing booster subracks. The sub racks are equipped with standard components.
The existing Network management system will be updated in order to support new EoSDH equipment types included in this project. Finally, the new ring network (A,B and C) will be merged into the existing ring network.

Services:
Consultancy on Design, System Integration, Test, Supply, Installation, Documentation, SDH Network, Training, On-call Repair service.
This example is an upgrade and extension to a backbone network for a major oil company. The contract includes an extensive range of service supplies: Clarification of needs, together with the customer’s own experts. Preparing a number of solutions and guiding the customer to the optimal solution. Project management. Integration and testing of the individual subsystems. Comprehensive and exhaustive documentation. Carrying out a Factory Acceptance Test to verify the system performance before shipment to site. Training of the personnel responsible for the daily maintenance of the network and its components.
